Availability Window
Availability Windows allow you to designate timeframes during which Products are purchasable. Availability Windows may be open-ended (by not setting an end date). A Product can have many overlapping windows at different prices and using different business models.
You can use Markets to target the availability and pricing of Products for specific user segments. The price of a Product is determined by the Market the user belongs to and the Price Band. When the Market on an Availability Window is not set, it will be visible to all users. If a customer is determined to belong to multiple Markets which are on overlapping availability windows, Market ordering will determine which Market takes precedence and therefore which Availability Window and pricing will apply.
Note that a Product will not be visible to customers even when they are determined available by Availability Windows if the state of the Product is not set to ‘Published’.
