The Navigation Menu is a bar displayed at the top of the website or app, designed to help users navigate easily between various sections. It supports three different types of links: Internal, External, and System. The menu is fully customizable, allowing you to control the links' display order, naming, and behavior.

Link Types

Internal Links

Internal Links are used to connect users to various sections within your website or app. These links can target specific pages, collections, or products within your platform. For example, an internal link could direct users to a specific landing page, a group of related items (such as a product collection), or an individual product listing. Each internal link can be customized to open in a new tab when clicked, though this behavior only applies to the web version of your platform and does not affect the mobile apps. Additionally, internal links can have a custom display name, giving you control over how each link is presented in the navigation menu.

External Links

External Links allow you to point to URLs outside of your website or app. These links can lead to any valid web address, such as third-party websites or resources, giving you flexibility to direct users to external content. Like internal links, external links can be customized to open in a new tab in the web version of your platform. You can also specify a custom name for external links, ensuring that the link text shown in the navigation menu is meaningful and user-friendly.

System Links

System Links are pre-configured links that provide access to essential system pages, such as the login page. These links are tied to core system functionalities and cannot be pointed to arbitrary URLs. However, like other link types, you can assign a custom display name for system links to control how they appear in the navigation menu, ensuring consistency with your other links.

Key Features:

  • Customizable Link Order: The navigation menu allows you to arrange the links in the order that best suits your needs.
  • Open in New Tab (Web Only): For internal and external links, you can choose whether a link should open in a new tab. This setting only affects the website, not the mobile apps.
  • Custom Link Names: Each link type can have a custom display name that appears in the navigation menu, allowing for greater flexibility in how you present links to your users.
