A price band contains a price and currency which can be applied to a Product under a specific business model such as TVOD (one time) or SVOD (subscription).
A Price Band may be attached to many different Availability Windows; changes to the Price Band will affect all Products using an Availability Window with that Price Band.
A typical use case for Price Bands is to link them to Apple’s price tiers, as when using in-app purchasing the build up of commercial agreements from platform partners, in particular Apple and Amazon, means that this is effectively enforced. When using in-app purchasing, the Price Band must match the entry in the app store/operator’s catalogue.
Markets can be used on Availability Windows to offer different pricing to different segments of customers.
